The Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP) is an integral part of our work as a center. Our team manages the logistical aspects of the program, meaning that we are also in charge of training the orientation leaders that staff SPOP each summer! During SPOP, our SPOP staffers typically reside in the residence halls alongside incoming first-year students, assisting with their transition to UCI. Multiple leadership opportunities are available in our community. Overall, we are seeking positive role models who are excited about being one of the first faces to welcome our new students to UCI.
SPOP Coordinators
Our SPOP Coordinators help to recruit, train, and supervise 120-150 Staffers, as well as support and develop our orientation programs.

SPOP Returners
Our SPOP Returner Team lead a discussion section for Staffers during the Spring Quarter, and act as positive peer mentors that build our SPOP community.
Applications for this position will open late Fall Quarter. You must have staffed a prior year to apply.
SPOP Staffers
Our SPOP Staffers are trained throughout Spring Quarter to welcome our new students at SPOP during the summer.
