Administrative Intern Program

The Administrative Intern Program, or AIP, provides both learning opportunities and work experience to selected undergraduate students to develop and practice professional skills. A new AIP Cohort is selected each academic year to participate in the Administrative Intern Program’s Weekly Seminar and work as an intern with one of our on-campus partners.

AIP Weekly Seminar

The AIP Weekly Seminar is three quarter-long course offered by the Paul Merage School of Business for 4 units of Pass/No Pass per quarter. This seminar, led by the AIP Coordinators, is a space for interns to practice interview skills, learn about their strengths, and develop written and verbal communication tactics. Each week in class, students will engage with guest speakers, group projects, readings, and journal assignments.

Internships

Each AIP Intern is partnered with a mentor, a professional staff in a UCI Department, who oversees their internship responsibilities. Interns and mentors work together to find an intern’s area of focus based on their experiences and future goals within that department’s scope. Interns work for 6-8 hours per week completing various projects, such as promoting research opportunities, marketing leadership programs, and administering student focus groups.

Campus Partners
